Mission Statement:
Our Mission at HeadzUp FM is simply to bring our listening audience, the
planet Earth only the finest in Gospel /Holy Hip-Hop, underground
(Unsigned artists), old school and Urban Gospel R&B in the mix 24/7. We
will not yield to negative outside influences such as radio payola. We
are truly down for our listeners. We offer the hip-hop & urban R&B fan a
positive Christian alternative. We do this to the glory of God and to
help fulfill the Great Commission given to us by His Son Jesus just
before he returned up to Heaven, “Therefore go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of
the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded
you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Vision:
On the West Coast Hip-Hop is the number 1 most listened to style of
music. Hip-Hop has also made a global impact and has a LARGE dedicated
listening audience. With that in mind HeadzUp FM’s common vision is to
take Hip-Hop music to the next level and to make a positive impact in
the lives of those who listen. To reach out to those outside of
outreach, the un-churched with the solution and only hope for the
hopeless, which is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to
encourage those within the church body to strengthen their walk and aim
their path of life Heavenward. Our ultimate vision is to be up on the
airwaves in our home market of California with this same format, vision

Why don’t you do CD
reviews or countdown shows throughout the year?
KHDZ is a listener driven radio station. What may
be a number one song to you might be a number nine to your friends and
so on. You have witnessed songs that are flat when they first drop and
then grow on you later and some that sound great at first listen you end
up hating later. Different musical tastes vary and it is for this reason
that we do not have countdown. CD Reviews are wacked. Why? CD Reviews
tell you ONLY what that one person thought of that CD. The reviewing
person could hate the CD … then you go pick it up and dig on it. That is
why we do not review your favs or do CD reviews. We let you (our listner)
tell us, by requesting the songs you like and spin it for you 24/7. So
what do we offer in place of..? All our DJ’s have ALL REQUEST shows
throughout the year and DJ one3 has a best of requests (the highest
requested songs of each year) show at the end of each year where we
showcase the songs you request.
Can I request a song?
Yes, Just send us an email and we will put it up
using our automated request server..and if the server can’t ID the son
it will be on our next mix show.
